The Monte Nieddu mountain and waterfalls
The Monte Nieddu (black mountain) is a granitic rock and its pick, Punta Magghjori is 970 meters on the sea level. The mountain was famous for its forests of holm oaks, junipers and various shrubs. The whole territory is surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub. Wild boar, martens and wild cats find refuge in the vegetation. Among the highest rocks you can find the nest of rare and species such as the peregrine falcon and the golden eagle, the imperial crows and partridges.
One of the most fascinating characteristics are the small watercourses that create waterfalls with suggestive natural pools, the perfect destination for many hikers and lovers of trekking and Nordic walking.
